Hartman的作品已荣获超过220个设计奖项,其中除10项美国建筑师协会荣誉奖之外,还包括多个LEED®黄金级别认证项目、两个目前正在实施的LEED®铂金级别认证项目,以及金银岛项目和加州大学默塞德分校项目所荣获的美国建筑师协会环境可持续性奖项。他还于2000年的总统设计奖评选中获得了一项联邦设计成就奖。
Hartman先生于2001年成为梅贝克奖(Maybeck Award)最年轻的获奖者。美国建筑师协会定期向一名加州建筑师颁发该奖项,以表彰其在“建筑设计领域的终身成就”。在2008年9月基督之光大教堂(Cathedral of Christ the Light)的落成典礼上,罗马教皇本笃十六世(Pope Benedictus XVI)将梵蒂冈的社会服务骑士头衔“圣西尔维斯特”(St. Sylvester)授予Hartman先生。2010年,美国天主教大学将Hartman评选为“沃尔顿杰出设计评论家”。Hartman还分别于2009年和2018年获得鲍尔州立大学和德保罗大学的荣誉艺术博士学位。2016年,罗马美国学院邀请Hartman担任William Bernoudy常驻建筑师,以表彰他对该领域的贡献。
