疾速的城市化正在不断侵蚀着中国的文化景观并使其急剧缩减,而北京面临的风险尤甚。这座繁荣兴旺的大都会拥有逾 3000 年的表演艺术文化历史,长期以来一直是中国最优雅和最古老艺术形式的摇篮。
北京天桥表演艺术区总体规划旨在通过尊重该区域世界遗产文脉的,现代和传统演艺场所的新聚合,重建这座城市的文化核心区。这个适宜步行的区域同时担当着社区资源和标志性目的地的角色,将显著发扬社区邻里为艺术表达提供机遇的传统。丰富穿插的公共空间将为从算命、杂技到完整的京剧演出等广泛活动提供理想的环境。新与旧汇聚在这个生机勃勃的区域,为北京建立中国版的“百老汇”。
项目基地坐落于天坛和先农坛这两个国家古迹之间的显要位置。作为回应,SOM 的规划提案了在尺度和目标方面均开创先河的“城市农场”。该食品生产中心展示了农业、可持续性、高速铁路等领域的现代发展,将成为城市居民的重要文化设施。城市农场将创建城市生态居住的新标准,也将为中国各地的未来开发树立典范。
