Soaring above Belgrade, near the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, the 42-story Kula Belgrade will catalyze the regeneration of the city’s waterfront and add an iconic landmark to the skyline.
The tower will house a luxury St. Regis Hotel and approximately 220 branded apartments. The airy lobby treats residents and visitors with a view of the river and surrounding landscape. The residences, which include expansive duplex units, and the hotel, with around 120 rooms, are designed to exacting standards with sharp, clean finishes of brass and stone. Containing a ballroom, dining room, spa, gym, and meeting rooms, the building’s podium provides world-class amenities under one roof. An observation deck and restaurant at the top of the restaurant offers unprecedented views of the historic center and the countryside beyond.
The orientation of the tower rotates 90 degrees as it rises to engage different contexts and enhance its structural performance by reducing the wind load. Differences in glazing and a river-water cooling system reduce the building’s energy needs.
A portal between the river and the center, the development embraces the adjacent plaza, engaging the public space with an indoor-outdoor ballroom and a public art program.
